It seems to me that 33...Qg1 wouls have been mate on the spot, or do I missed something ?

Besides, after that mate, Black would win the a-1 queen... for the next game ;)

It would be nice if we could see our text before we send it

I think the key is to read the second line. This was an ICC 2 minute lightning game. As such, it really isn't high quality play compared to a slow game.
